Acharya’s world-famous ‘Chakravyuh’ is a tale of three famous wrestlers who have achieved the aim of their lives to win the wrestling championship. Everything has been going well till now for them as all three have been gaining fame and making money. Eventually, they realize that that to continue as winners, they must defeat a master wrestler named Rudra Pratap Singh. In order to move ahead in life, these three braves braved out against each other for this title fight and eventually one won it with happiness being his/hers due reward. The movie is based on the real story of the great Indian wrestler, Rudra Pratap Singh, who lived in 1700s. A documentary about this life form was made by ace documentary maker, Vijaya Chandraprakash in 1985. The film was released on 12th June 2009 with some positives and some negatives. The positive parts were that it had good action and fight sequences, had some commercial touch with some catchy songs especially the title track "Chakravyuh", also added some comedy to it though not many but it did keep us entertained. The negative parts were that it had a few loopholes, and eventually even if we ignore those, there is no prominent story. The movie was not well received by the critics. The film got an average rating of 3/5 from Taran Adarsh and 3.5/5 from Subhash K.
